But most of the people won’t be aware of the fact that clicking pictures at certain places in the country is against the law. Can’t believe? But is absolutely true! It is strictly prohibited to use cameras at certain places. Now you’d be wondering which places are these. Well, you cannot click pictures of government buildings, palaces of the Sheikhs, and several bridges. When it comes to the palaces of the Sheikhs, the ban has been listed in the legislation of the country. If this doesn’t surprise you much, then the reason behind the prohibition will definitely do. The ban has been imposed because of the local superstitions and can make you pay a fine of $1,361, or imprisonment for 1 to 3 months.

England

England

Wait, what? Like really? These might be your very first reaction while watching England’s name on the list, right? But it’s time when you leave all the astonishment and disbelief aside and accept this fact. England is a beautiful country, there’s no doubt about it! But, just like the other ones on the list, this country also has some abstruse rules that might leave you in total surprise. Well, here’s a good news for those crazy tourists who love clicking selfies and pictures almost everywhere, but when it comes to commercial shooting, the country has set some serious rules. You need special authorization when it comes to commercial photography. Also, you would have to take permission from the Mayor of London if you want to perform commercial shooting in Parliament Square and Trafalgar Square.

North Korea

North Korea

This one won’t come as a surprise, right? A lot of things are already banned and prohibited in this country, and clicking pictures is just another addition to that list. If you ever plan to visit this country, get ready for a string of surprising consequences. Several restrictions are imposed on your behavior and movements in North Korea. You are not supposed to leave your hotel without your guide, nor can you even click a single photograph without your guide’s consent. Should you be failing in doing so, you might end up facing a severe fine, or may be something even worse. If you ever travel to this country, do it at your own risk!

The United States of America

USA

You are going to get a lot of surprises on the list. Who would have thought that taking pictures in the land of Hollywood would be against the law? Well, obviously there are certain reasons and conditions behind the ban on taking pictures in the country. Expecting Japan on this list seems totally perplexing in the first place, but you have to agree with the fact that taking pictures at certain places in the country is not allowed. Clicking pictures at certain Buddhist temples has been strictly prohibited in Japan.
