Do You Know PKL 6: Pro Kabaddi League 2018 Match Updates and Results


Season 6 of Pro-Kabaddi League started on October 7th 2018. The league will continue for the next three months. The final of the league will be played on January 5, 2019. Check our website for latest updates and results.

Day 10:  Match Schedule List: 

 There are two matches scheduled on day 10. First match will be played between Bengaluru Bulls vs Tamilthlaivas and the second match will be played between U Mumba and Haryana Steelers.

 The first match will take place at Motilal Nehru School of Sports in RAI, Sonipat. The match will start at 8 PM and will be broadcasted live by Star Sports. The second match will start at 9 PM and will take place at the same venue.  All the teams participating in today's matches will look to correct their mistakes as they did in their last matches. 

 Haryana Steelers which has so far suffered three defeats in the season 6 will obviously look to improve its performance. Its score difference is -53. This should be a great concern for the team.

1st match:   Bengaluru Bulls vs Tamilthlaivas

 Venue: Motilal Nehru School of Sports in RAI, Sonipat

Time: 8 PM

2ND Match:  U Mumba vs Haryana Steelers

Venue: Motilal Nehru School of Sports in RAI, Sonipat

 Time: 9 PM

 Day 9:

The first match of the day 9 witnessed some amount of thrill and excitement as Bengal Warriors defeated Telugu Titans in a very close contest.  The game ended on 25-30 and Telegu Titans suffered a defeat by 5 points. In the second match on day 10, Haryana Steelers continuing their losing streak lost their third game.  They were defeated by Jaipur Pink Panthers by a small margin of 3 points.  The game which ended at 36-33 saw a terrific all-around performance by Nitin Rawal. In the first half of the game, Jaipur totally dominated the Steelers. For Haryana, Naveen was the star performer of the day. He scored 17 points but all his hard work went in vain after his team suffered a defeat.

  In other game of the day, playing against Bengal Warriors, Telugu Titan’s defence gave them more point than the raiders that eventually brought first defeat for it in the tournament.  On the points table, TT is still on the top.  

Day 8:

  On day 8, the Pro Kabaddi league fans enjoyed two exciting games, one between UP Yoddha Vs Patna Pirates and other between Haryana Steelers and Puneri Paltan. In the first game, Patna Pirates maintaining their dominance over the season defeated UP by registering a clinching performance.  When the game started, Vijay successfully tackled Devadiga that shifted momentum towards the Pirates.  The other players of the team Manjeet Chillar, Pardeep Narwal, and Deepak Narwal backed him and helped the team to take the lead to 43-37. 

 In the second match, Haryana Steelers were badly defeated by Puneri Paltan with a massive lead of 18 points. The game which witnessed a poor performance from Haryana became the highest win margin records for the Paltans.  The match ended at 45-27. 


Day 7 of the PKL season 7 was full of surprises.  In the first match of the day, Telegu Titans defeated UP Yoddha by 34-29. It was the second win for the Telugu Titans in the season.  In the second match of the day, we saw U Mumba thrashing Haryana Steelers by 52-23. The match was played at Motilal Nehru School of sports in Sonepat.  U Mumbai was all over Haryana Steelers as later never looked in the control of the game.

Day 6:  

On day 6 of the Pro Kabaddi league season 6, Haryana Steelers beat Gujarat Fortunegaints in a game played at Motilal Nehru School of Sports in Sonepat.  In the second match, Delhi Dabang won against Pune by 41-37 and broke their 8-match losing streak.   In the first match of the day, it was Monu Goyat of Haryana Steelers who steered his team to the win by scoring seven tackle points.

Day 5:

 Day 5 proved to be a lucky day for Patna Pirates as they defeated UP Yoddha in a thriller by 43-41.  The game between Yoddha and Pirates was full of excitement. In the second match, Tamil Thalaivas defeated Bengal Warriors by a massive margin of 9 points.  The match ended at 36-27. The key player Ajay Thakur couldn’t perform well for his team in their last home match of the season.  However, Pradeep Narwal made a strong comeback as he scored 16 points to lead his Team Patna to victory against UP Yoddha.

Day 4:

 On day 4, as per the schedule, matches were played between U Mumba and Jaipur Pink Panthers and between Bengaluru Bulls versus Tamil Thalaivas. In the first match of the day, U Mumba won against Jaipur Pink Panthers in a close contest.   Siddharth Desai was the star performer for U Mumba who scored 13 raid points for his team.  Mumbai was struggling in the first half of the game but made a strong come back in the second half and defeated JPP with 37-32.

In the second match, Bengaluru Bulls defeated Tamil Thaliavas by 48-37. The star performer of the day for Bengaluru was Pawan Sehrawat who produced one of the best raiding performance of the season and scored 20 points for his team.  The match was played at Jawahar Lal Nehru Indoor Stadium on Wednesday. The other highlights of the day were Kashiling Adake reaching the milestone of 500 raid points in the PKL. He scored 9 points in the match. For Tamil Thalaivas, Ajay Thakur was the star performer. He scored 20 Raid points. For his team. However, due to the poor defence strategy, his team eventually suffered a massive defeat

 Day 3:

 On the day third of the season 6 of PKL, Telegu Titans (TT) beat Tamil Thalaivas by five points.  The match was played at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday. It was the second defeat for Tamil Thalavias in the season while the first win for TT.  TT won against Tamil Thalaivas by 33-28.  For TT, Rahul Chaudhari scored nine points.   Ajay Thakur and Amit Hooda were top players for Tamil Thalaivas though their efforts were not enough to give their team a victory.  On day 3, another game was played between Dabang Delhi and Gujarat Fortunegaints.  The game was nerve-wracking. At halftime, Gujarat Fortunegiants with 17 points was leading with 5 points but Delhi’s substitute Chandran Ranjit's scored quick ten points for the team in the second half and gave his team to forge a comeback in the game.  At last, the game ended in a draw.

Day 2:

 The main highlights of the day 2 of PKL season 2 was Tamil Thalaivas loss against UP Yoddha by 32-37.   The first match of the day was played between Haryana Steelers versus Puneri Paltan. Steelers were defeated by Paltan by 34-22.  Mono Goyat was not playing that eventually cast Steelers the game against Paltan.   UP Yoddha in their game against Tamil Thalaivas did well in the first half of the game to register a win against Tamil Thalaivas.  The game was played at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.  Prashant Kumar Rai was the lead scorer for Yoddha’s with 8 points.  Though Ajay Thakur scored 12 points for Tamil Thalaivas that was not enough as his team could not recover from the first half thrashing by UP Yoddhas raiders.

Day 1:

 The opening clash of the PKL season 6 happened between Tamil Thalaivas and defender champions Patna Pirates. The two key players were Ajay Thakur from Tamil Thalaivas and Pardeep Narwal from Patna.

In the opening match of the sixth season of KPL, Patna Pirates which scored 1050 points in the last season and emerged as winner competed with Tamil Thalaivas which had scored just 681 points in the previous season.  So Patna Pirates were already deemed as favourites by fans. 

  The players were itching from both sides to perform well and stand up to the expectation level of their fans.  But Patna pirates had to face a complete disappointment as they were crashed to defeat against Tamil Thalaivas by 26-42.  This way the favourites and defending champions were not able to meet the expectation level of their fans.

 On the same day, there was a much-anticipated game between U Mumba and Puneri Paltan which finished on a tie. It was 32-32 in the end. The Puneri Paltan which was lagging behind came back strongly in the last moments of the game and levelled the points. For U Mumba, Siddharth Desai was the highest performer who scored 14 points.  Nitin Tomar of Puneri Paltan scored highest 15 points in the match.
