Realizing the scope and impact of the Kabbadi in India, in 2014, a franchise based league was started in India on the lines of Indian Premier League. Franchises showed interest in the league as India had recently performed well at the 2014 Asian Games. However, still, there were many doubts over PKL whether it will become a success or it will lose its essence after just one or two seasons. However, PKL proved it critiques wrong who had cast some doubts over the future of the League.

Kabaddi which was largely a forgettable sport in India achieved new heights of popularity with the start of the star-studded Pro Kabaddi League.  It barreled back into the conscious of nationalities particularly young ones and became nation’s most popular sport after cricket.

Meanwhile the sixth season of the Pro Kabaddi league is on from October 7. The finals will be played on January 5 next year in Mumbai. Who will win the league season 6? Will the Patna Pirates emerge as winners fourth time on the trot or a new winner will break its winning streak? Nothing can be said as Kabaddi is the game of great uncertainties. Nothing can be said till the last match of the league is not played and finished.
